Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are known to shed a lot of money in the auction. They underwent the same approach in the just-concluded Indian Premier League(IPL) 2018 auction at Bengaluru. Spending INR 79.85 crores, RCB are left with only INR 0.15 crores. Nonetheless, they have included some big names, and got all-rounders in abundance as well. The biggest miss from RCB squad was West Indies opener, Chris Gayle.
Here is a look at RCB squad post the auction.

Clearly, skipper Virat Kohli took active interest in the team discussion prior to the auction. As a result, some of his favourites have been included. Also, RCB have went in for quite a few spinners to support the sluggish nature of the M. Chinaswammy Stadium, Bengaluru. RCB have few wrist spinners — Yuzvendra Chahal leading charge — going by the present trend of them earning maximum accolades in recent T20s.
Talking about the big names, RCB have filled their lineup in form of Chris Woakes, Tim Southee, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Moeen Ali, Colin de Grandhomme and Brendon McCullum. (Woakes became the second-most expensive foreign player after de Villiers).
RCB finished last in IPL 2017. How far can they go in the forthcoming edition?
